Alexander Galli started its professional career within the Swiss National Bank, the central bank of Switzerland, in Zürich. Together with a small group of economist and a continuous exchange of ideas with universities he worked out the basics for a modern monetary policy. At the beginning of the eighties he moved to Handelsbank NatWest in Zurich. He was economic advisor to the executive board and also responsible for the investment research and portfolio management. End of the eighties he moved to the Schweizerische Volksbank (SVB) in Zürich to take over responsibility for the investment research, the investment policy and the investment funds.
After the takeover of SVB by Credit Suisse he was responsible for the investment research within Credit Suisse Private Banking (CSPB). He was key person in the investment committee and chief economist in the CSPB since 1998. In the year 2000 he left the CS in order to found his own advisory company “Dr. Galli Investment Research”. Since 2003 he is also participating in the asset management company “Benz & Partners AG” in Zürich. In 2010 he became a partner of “Fund Street AG” in Zürich.
